I began this one in the 1990s with just the title and some mumbling words. Put the finishing touches on it in 2006.
The Catalogue recording was done in my Summerville studios that year.
“Each Day Like It’s the Last Day”
(Doak Snead © 2006)
I live Each Day Like it’s the Last Day
I take each pathway like it’s the best way
I’ve walked down dirt roads
Danced on mountaintops
I’ve spent wondrous hours
Hoping they’d never stop
I’ve seen miracles fall from outer space
I’ve seen parables written on a face
And I live each day like it’s the last day
These things I am thankful for
The morning’s breath the evening star
For winter’s nights with warming fires
And kisses of my own desires borrowing time
I live Each Day Like it’s the Last Day
I take each pathway like it’s the best way
I’ve seen young men stand in long lines
Searching for God knows what
Things they may never find
I’ve seen miracles fall from outer space
I’ve seen parables written on a face
And I live Each Day Like it’s the Last Day
I live Each Day Like it’s the Last Day
I take each pathway like it’s the best way
I’ve seen old men sipping new wine
Searching for God knows what running out of time
I’ve seen miracles fall from outer space
I’ve seen parables written on a face
And I live Each Day Like it’s the Last Day
